装備が自分のものになるとき

When Equipment Becomes Your Own

New equipment belongs to no one yet

New equipment is the same for everyone.
The same shape, the same material, the same color — it belongs to no one yet.

When you first hold it, it feels firm and structured. When worn, it feels slightly unfamiliar.

It has not yet learned the movements or habits of the person using it.

At first, you notice the equipment more than your own body.

Changes that appear through repetition

With repeated training, subtle changes begin to appear.
Folding points slowly settle into place, and areas that are often gripped begin to soften.

Sections that move frequently develop natural creases.
It may not look dramatically different, but it changes steadily through use.

Sensations that once required attention gradually fade.
It begins to follow the body without thought and no longer interrupts movement.

There comes a moment when you forget about the equipment and simply focus on training.

The moment it becomes yours

One day, putting on a brand-new piece may feel unfamiliar instead.
Even if the shape is the same, something feels slightly off.

That is when you realize your body has already grown used to another.

The difference comes from time spent using it.

Perhaps that is the moment equipment becomes yours.

Not because of any visible mark, but because familiarity forms naturally through repetition.

Just as training cannot be completed in a single day,
equipment also needs time before it truly becomes your own.
