TEST RECORD #03 New → 3 Months → 9 Months
Share
This record compares the condition of the gi when new, after 3 months of use, and after 9 months of use.

When new, the fabric felt firm and structured, with a relatively uniform surface. Through repeated training, washing, and machine drying, the texture gradually became softer and more flexible.

The dry, textured surface characteristic of hemp also changed over time. Rather than remaining uniform, the fabric developed a more relaxed appearance, with subtle variations in texture becoming increasingly visible through use.

As the surface became more matte, the tonal embroidery became easier to distinguish from the surrounding fabric.

The pattern of change also appeared different from what is commonly seen in cotton gis, particularly in the way the surface texture evolved over time.
This record focuses primarily on those visual and textural changes.

The gi was used in a higher-than-average training environment, with near-daily wear and repeated washing and machine drying throughout the test period.
